Which emojis can you use?
There is a combination of emojis that are out there ready to be used by any student, or any other person engaging in such a topic. The collection is largely related to student life, with a student emoji itself, as well as a book emoji.
The student emoji is a human face in a graduation cap and gown. Typically, one envisions themselves at a graduation when they have an urge to learn, so the emoji makes it appropriate for a student to use. Moreover, it can also be used by someone who’s already graduated. The emoji was first introduced in 2019 and has evolved in various ways since then.
Evolution in the study emoji
The student emoji has a handful of modifiers to make the emoji inclusive and accessible for everyone. It comes in many forms of skin colors, as well, as gender. Gender-wise, the emojis are male, female, and gender-neutrally depicted. Then, these emojis are further divided into respective skin colors. The existing skin colors are:
- Light skin-tone
- Medium-light skin tone
- Medium skin tone
- Medium-dark skin tone
- Dark skin tone
The diversity in skin colors and genders makes sure that the assortment of emojis moves on with the evolving world. It guarantees that everyone can comfortably use the emojis as how they want to.
Emojis on different platforms
Generally, emojis tend to vary from one platform to another. Google, Samsung, Apple, WhatsApp, Twitter, and other places have their own sets of emojis and they can vary here and there. In some emojis, the difference is obvious, in others, however, it’s negligible. In these emojis, the difference is, indeed, minute. The concept in all remains the same – a human face, with a black cap and gown. What tends to vary is the human face. The hair may be slightly different, and even the type of smile the face is giving off.
Apple’s emoji has light hair, with the emoji not smiling. Whereas, Google’s emoji has darker, puffier, and curlier hair, with the face having a broad smile. Samsung’s emoji also has dark hair with a meek smile. WhatsApp’s emoji, on the other hand, has an additional item to its emoji, and that is a degree. The tassel of the cap on the emoji is also red, making the emoji stand out altogether.
Emojis on Mac and Windows
People often think that such emojis aren’t available on Mac and Windows, but truth be told, they’re just as easily discoverable as on any other system. Only certain keys have to be pressed which results in the emoji keyboard appearing. Once that appears, one is just one step away from finding their desired emojis, which is ‘searching.’
On Mac, command, control, and spacebar keys have to be pressed. In the meantime, on Windows, the windows logo and period key have to be pressed.
